What We Do

We provide a comprehensive range of traditional qualitative research techniques, including group discussions, expert interviews, and home observations, tailored to Algeria's cultural context.

Employing a single methodology rarely provides a complete understanding of consumers. Our expertise lies in recommending diverse methodologies, ensuring depth in each research project. Additionally, while certain global creative or projective methods may not resonate well within our cultural framework, we adeptly modify them to evoke meaningful insights across Algeria.

Qualitative Research Services

Accompanied Shopping:

Our clients often enjoy accompanying consumers on shopping trips to observe product preferences and the effectiveness of in-store promotions like pop-ups and gondolas. These outings, involve exploring what catches shoppers' attention and what information they seek when making purchasing decisions. We begin outside the store to observe any in-store advertising and continue inside, concluding with interviews in a nearby café to delve deeper into consumers' decision-making factors.

Ethnographic Immersions:

Visiting an Algerian home provides unique insights into consumers' lifestyles and their interactions with brands and products. While in-facility interviews are valuable, Algerian communication is rich in non-verbal cues, leaving much unsaid and potentially missing out on profound insights. Furthermore, respondents may overlook product experiences and pain points unless they're in their natural environment.

Case Study:

During a market research study focusing on diabetic patients, we visited the home of a participant who reported feeling unwell despite consistently showing low blood sugar readings on their glucometer. Upon observing the participant's usage of the device, we discovered they were not properly calibrating it before each use, leading to inaccurate readings??? the patient was going to order a new device of a different brand. This misunderstanding resulted in the patient incorrectly adjusting their insulin dosage, contributing to their discomfort. Through this insight gained from visiting the patient's home, we were able to identify the root cause of their health issues and provide guidance on correct device usage, ultimately improving their overall well-being.

Social Listening Online:

As consumer interactions with brands increasingly shift online, particularly on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, understanding online discussions about your brand has never been more crucial. Social listening entails thorough monitoring of major social networking sites to identify conversations about your brand, extracting valuable insights, and integrating them into your overall brand strategy.

Online Diaries/ Video Diaries:

Algerians teens, 20s, and 30s (and even older age segments) spend a lot of time online and a lot of their interaction with friends and acquaintances is through messaging apps and social networking platforms – much like any other country these days really. Which is why online communities have become more popular as a research methodology.
